Who is your teacher?

 

My name is Trisha Carlson. I'm an English teacher who loves to talk about reading and writing with students. 

 

I bring that passion for the spoken and written word to my classes every day, along with a firm belief that every student can read and write well, think creatively, and dream big, and that it is my role to facilitate those skills and practices. I also bring experience in middle school and high school classrooms, a degree in English and linguistics from the Universiy of Arizona, and a Masters in Teaching from Johns Hopkins University.

 

My vision is that in each of my classes all students will work to become lifelong readers and writers, creative and critical thinkers, and men and women of ambition, integrity and resilience. 

 

When I'm not in my classroom, I'm probably camping with my husband and kids, on a run, eating strawberries from my garden, or taking a painting class.
